In the midst of pressure, distrust and disappointment from Malaysia People, Selangor government finally broke their silence on the RM676 million Talam’s bail out.
Selangor state executive councillor Teresa Kok accused that in 2006 the Barisan Nasional state government agreed to a settlement that involved the questionable RM181 million Bestari Jaya and five leasehold office lots in Menara Pandan.
Teresa said Pakatan state government had to abide by earlier agreement.
Malaysia People are stunned and speechless with Teresa’s statement. Teresa is admitting that Selangor Pakatan government had committed the sins of neglecting the validity period of the contract and did not appoint the valuer to assess the valuation used in year 2006?
Malaysia People urge Teresa to truthfully answer whether the valuation of the properties are reasonable. Did Selangor Pakatan government “blindly” execute the contract which was not acceptable and did not appoint its valuer to evaluate the properties?
Malaysia People are upset with Teresa’s explanation which seemingly admitted the negligence and incompetency of Selangor Pakatan government in executing a unreasonable contract. Didn’t Selangor Pakatan government know how to exercise their right to terminate the questionable deal? Did Selangor Pakatan governemnt foolishly accept the questionable valuation which is no longer reasonable in 2010?
Malaysia People strongly demand Selangor Pakatan government to be accoutable for its decision. Pakatan must truthfully and transparently answer whether the valuation for the properties in Talam’s RM676 million deal are reasonable, did Selangor government appoint their valuer to assess the valuation and why the RM181 million Bestar Land only worth RM80 million based on the valuation report of the Selangor owned subsidiary?
Malaysia People reprimanded Selangor Pakatan for pointing their fingers at others when problems arise. This is irresponsible! Selangor Pakatan should know that they are the one who executed the contract and not BN. If the contract is not reasonable, they can always challenge it to the court and not blindly and foolishly abide by it.
This time, Teresa made herself look worse than Tony Pua who had admitted an overvaluation in Bestari Land.

These are all lies. Tony and Teresa explained very well how selangor state government recovered back all the debts owing by Talam during bn’s time and left unattended. MCA Dog, no point of blaming Toyo or BN for the debt. If the debt has problems, PR should expose it and not to cover it. Worse, PR is getting more debt from Talam’s lenders and paying more interests for borrowing. It is PR’s responsibility to be accountable for the questionable deal.
